Please remember that when it comes to antique restoration, especially furniture, ALWAYS expect the unexpected!! The true depth of any restoration work only fully comes to light once the prep work starts. Things can show up that cannot be seen or detected on the surface, and are only realised once the work starts.

Whether you are a collector or a first-time buyer the choice of pieces from a trinket box, a piece of fine art, or a Tudor suite we are sure you will be truly inspired.

Service Update from Ken



Hello. I am updating you all with some news regarding service changes here at HERITAGE ANTIQUE RESTORATIONS LTD, THE ANTIQUES DOCTOR and RINGOLD ANTIQUE RESTORATIONS. Due to our enormous work load, we are no longer able to take in the following projects:-
1. BULK ITEMS (i.e. chairs etc) other than antique chairs such as  Thomas Chippendale, Thomas Sheraton, and George Hepplewhite,  William Morris etc.
2. ITEMS POST 1930's (No Longer Taken On)
3. ERCOL, GPLAN ITEMS or Mid-Century Items.  (No Longer Taken On)
4. As of the 31st of March 2024 we will no longer be taking on any ON-SITE  projects, except for those of a registered charity such as The National Trust etc.
Any antiques or antique furniture pre-1950 are welcome.

Traditional Methods


You will be pleased to know that we ONLY use traditional methods and finishes which include, hand-mixed polishes and stains, oils and waxes. We do not use modern sprays and polymers.



Reluctant Price Increase

Sadly due to the increase in the cost of materials etc, we have had no alternative but to increase our own prices and have raised our hourly rate, please ask for further information. We tried to hold back on passing these price increases to our customers but as our costs have risen by an average of 38% and in a few cases by 50% we have had no alternative. Thank you for your continued custom and support.
